Īn Imperial Liason to the Aldmeri Dominion wrote a book in which Talos worship was outlawed due to sincere beliefs. If the Stormcloaks win the civil war, Talos worship will be permitted within the province again. Many Nords within the land still revere Talos. Within the city of Solitude, the shrine of Talos was removed due to the Concordat, and within Whiterun, Riften and Windhelm, the priests of Talos supported Ulfric. Due to the Talos ban being enforced, a civil war would break out within the province. The Thalmor Justiciars within Skyrim were tasked with stamping out Talos worship within the land, as they were treaty enforcers. įollowing the Markarth Incident, the Emperor was forced to permit the Thalmor entry into Skyrim, as the treaty terms had been broken due to the Empire's open acceptance of free Talos worship. Two provisions in the treaty had serious impacts on what remained of the Empire, but one of the terms banned the worship of Talos. The war concluded with the signing of the White-Gold Concordat. Fourth Era ĭuring the Fourth Era, a war broke out between the Aldmeri Dominion and the Third Empire, and this war came to be called the Great War. Likewise, where as Pelinal had failed to successfully beat Umaril due to Pelinal's limited power, the Blessing of Talos provided the Hero of Kvatch with the means to chase Umaril into the spirit realm and truly defeat him. ![]() Talos' Wayshrine had to be prayed at, proving his divinity. As Umaril the Unfeathered had returned to Tamriel, the next Divine Crusader had to follow the Pilgrim's Path of the Divines to speak to Pelinal Whitestrake. The divinity of Talos would provide more than just this during this time period, however. As no blood of the Eight Divines existed, the encrusted blood on the Armor of Tiber Septim was used in order to meet the requirement. In order to recover the Amulet of Kings from Mankar Camoran, the blood of a Divine was required. Talos' influence would become more apparent during the Oblivion Crisis. Wulf offered the Nerevarine a coin, which would offer increased luck when accepted. During 3E 427, his avatar of Wulf appeared when the Nerevarine was on his way to defeat Dagoth Ur. History Third Era ĭuring the Third Era, Talos would take a role in history several times. This change would eventually take place with the rise of Titus Mede I. He was suggesting a change in rulership needed to take place, and feared it could get messy. He stated that both the Empire and the Emperor were old, and was uncertain how much longer the Emperor would hang on. Wulf, at the time, was suspicious regarding the state of rulership in the Third Empire. Īnother aspect of Tiber Septim is known as Wulf, who appeared on Vvardenfell in 3E 427. After Tiber Septim withstood the Voices of the Greybeards to learn one of their prophecies, many Nords could not look upon the Dragonborn without seeing a Dragon. The Nordic aspect of Talos, known as Ysmir, is included in the Nordic Pantheon. Some followers of the original Divines follow the old ways of honoring the Eight, while also giving due to Talos, the "One" who ascended. ![]() ![]() Talos is also referred to as the "One" in the "Eight and One". They follow the cult openly, and hold a strong, and personal, connection to the cult. A considerable number of Imperials are followers of the Talos cult, which in general is popular among soldiers of the Imperial Legion, colonists, and assimilated foreigners. Talos' own priesthood, however, claims that his divinity was a reward from the Gods themselves upon his death, a belief shared with some of the Nords within Skyrim. One theory presumes that Talos absorbed the essences of most Dragons when he became a deity, resulting in Dragons becoming nearly extinct in the Third Era. Tiber Septim was already venerated in Nibenay prior to his death, however, since the Cult of Tiber Septim was followed in Nibenay 70 years before Tiber Septim died. The Talos Cult has since then been included in the Eight Divines of the Imperial Cult, and is largely followed by members in the Imperial Legion. Upon his death, he is believed to have ascended to godhood as the most important Hero-God of Mankind. Tiber Septim conquered all of Tamriel and founded the Third Empire and the Septim Dynasty that would rule it for centuries, marking the beginning of the Third Era.

![]() Again far too wide for the (Fuji) kit zoom.Īgain, not perfect, but you need to look. This is another very wide hand held stitch of the National Forklift Truck Collection. ![]() I cannot find the original files, but I think it is two rows of four and five frames. It isn't perfect, but you need to study it for a while to find the faults. I've no idea where the entrance pupil of that lens is either, so I just turned the camera around the centre of the lens. It was hand held and there is a lot of stuff likely to cause parallax problems. The Olympus Pen M4/3 kit zoom simply wasn't wide enough. This is about 9 frames taken in the engine room of a paddle steamer. I had no difficulties with this pano - it is hand-held with the Samyang 14 mm - one row.Īctually I do have more difficult stuff. This one is recognized by google as a panorama, so google enables its panorama viewer. This one can be zoomed - it could have been exported up to Yes there can be issues - sometimes it is necessary to insert extra control points or even horizontal-line control points.Īpart from that I am quite happy with PTGUI that I have used for many years. I have had PTGUI assemble 9 images deep TIFF hdrs in a panorama of a dozen or so images without any problem. and shutter speed - if they don't becaus ethe camera was on auto - then you need to just edit your hdr series - then they are recognized properly. there is a trick to HDR - PTGUI only recognizes series of hdr images by them having identical Fno. ![]() The main thing I like is the "save and forget" batch stitcher. The newest version supports the graphical processor. I have just stitched 14 x 36Mpix images shot with Samyang 14mm on nikon D800 and it stitches fast. but as we live far from each other and he's got an awful Web connection, I can't even ask him to send me some of HIS files, just to check personally. ![]() I've been using it for years and -although I never tried Autopano Pro- Rarely have problems stitching my sphericals !Īs you can imagine, I resurrected this thread just because someone told me some times ago that he HAITED PTGui and only used AP Pro. Don't even think about this shot with PTGui, it will not do it. Here's an example taken 60 feet away from a 240 foot high waterfall featuring 192 exposures, 8 over 8 times 3 handheld, assembled in about ten minutes by Autopano Pro which spat out three ginormous HDR layers later to be combined in Photomatix. Rather than mess with control points, which mostly don't work, it's better simply to reshoot with a reduced setting for wide angle. Autopano is the best I have used for stitching hands down, but it can fail if the panels are too unruly. There is usually wide angle lens distortion at the sides of each panel that can prevent the perfect stitch. However, doing research online, I also came across autopano though I haven't seen any reviews comparing them.Īny wide pano that has close in subject matter, you want to use a pano head where the nodal point is the pivot. I saw the same videos and was inspired to buy ptgui. Yeah I like MS ICE, works better than Hugin. Sorry I can't offer any info on Autopano giga, never tried it. There's also a nice tutorial series on youtube for doing 360x180 spherical panoramas I ended up getting PTGui after watching these, so it might give you a good idea if PTGui is what you're after. It's fully automated and works quite well, though I didn't get good results doing spherical panos, perhaps you'll have better luck. I personally use PTGui, though I have not really used it enough to justify the cost yet (and my nodal ninja 3 is sitting mostly unused as well.).īefore you go buying commercial software, there are two free options you can try first:īefore I bought PTGui, I used Microsoft ICE to stitch a large number of cylindrical panoramas that I'd never managed to get looking right with the stitching software that came with my old Canon S20. ![]() I have a queue of pianists at my door that could take your place. I will be using the next event time advance mechanism for this model. Theres a queue, outside, with people wanting my concerts. Generally, there are two widely used approaches to advance time in discrete event simulation, next event time advance(clock advances hopping from event to event)& fixed-increment time advance(clock advances in fixed time intervals). Great! now let’s start building the model If a customer enters the bank and there are five or more people waiting in the line, they will leave the bank with probability 60%. If a customer enters the bank and there are four people waiting in the line, they will leave the bank with probability 50%. When a customer enters the bank and both tellers are idle, they choose either one with equal probabilities. The service times are assumed to be exponential here. The average time it takes to serve a customer is 1.2 minutes by the first teller and 1.5 minutes by the second teller. This type of system is referred to as a M/M/2 queueing system. They wait in a single line for an idle teller. This rate of arrival is assumed in this case but should be modeled from actual data to get accurate results. Customers arrive at the bank about every 3 minutes on average according to a Poisson process. Let’s consider a bank that has two tellers. In this project, I am going to be simulating a queueing system for a bank. The randomness can be addressed by developing a discrete event simulation model, this can be extremely helpful in improving the operational efficiency, by analyzing key performance measures. There is a lot of randomness involved in these systems, which can cause huge delays, result in long queues, reduce efficiency, and even monetary loss. And that’s why we must try and make them as efficient as possible. This is a queueing system, and we encounter many queueing systems in our day to day lives, from grocery stores to amusement parks they’re everywhere. Customers enter, wait in a queue for their number to be called out, get service from the teller, and finally leave. It was also a test of whether they could successfully pioneer the blues genre to mix with rock, which they also succeeded in. In the end, Cactus’s debut was a test of team chemistry done well. This creates an excellent universal mood, which is an amazing blue-jazz rock album. The vocalist can also seem to find his way and role in his group pretty well. Take for example, the guitarist develops a nice sense of balance with the bassist and the drummer, creating a mix of exuberance and a nice chemistry altogether. ![]() They really feed off each other’s work, allowing the music to flirt really well with genre they chose and create an enjoyable atmosphere. But that’s hardly the best of what Cactus is all about.Ĭactus is more about the group as a whole rather than any single member by themselves. As another plus, the solos done in this album are nicely abrasive, pounding, agile, and are simple for the listener to get a grip of without feeling overwhelmed. In reality, all of this is part of what gives Cactus a pricklier rock sound. They often put their money into the art of lengthy jazz improv, blistery blues riffs and classic Western structure. This is really what Cactus did well in their self-titled debut.Ĭactus is good at something important: mind before matter. Chances are, the listener will quickly learn each song and almost become a part of the music just by listening to it over and over. In most terms, Cactus’s deliverance of folk tale lyricism is the most effective advantage in this album. Take for example if you look at My Lady From South of Detroit, you get a fun, light-hearted tale about a man who misses his lady from…well, south Detroit: This song is like the pre-runner to an even better song by Led Zeppelin, called Since I’ve Been Loving You, thus being a great example of Cactus paving the way for other highly prominent rock groups.Ĭactus also delivers some pretty trippy lyrics, going from a classic western tales to modern off the rail city stories. They’re not only just good at upbeat blues rock Cactus is also good at creating some pretty nice slow smooth jazz rock, which can be heard in No Need to Worry. In their self-titled debut album, Cactus seems to deliver the most effective blues rock kick, delivering instant action in certain songs, such as Parchman Farm, which goes straight into a break-speed blues cover, played incredibly well. They made it fun, catchy, and interesting. There is one band, however, which seemed to it more than just right. Another example is Black Sabbath, which had an exceptional influence of blues rock in their self-titled debut in 1970. Examples include Led Zeppelin, who emerged from a blues foundation as hard rock heroes. There are a few artists who have managed to pull off blues rock a few times and get right. ![]() Review Summary: Blues rock never sounded pricklier.Ĭactus was a band that formed in the early 1970s and specialized in a type of music that isn’t easy to find unless you go down south: Blues rock. ![]() Changesįixes a bug which could cause the clouds to stop updating.
